Calathea Medallion

Calatheas are known as ‘Prayer Plants’ because they open their leaves to receive more light during the day and close them, stretching them upwards at night. This Calathea ‘Medallion’ is famous for its gorgeous, rounded leaves in a dark green colour, with a purple underside, that offsets and compliments as only nature knows how. A truly beautiful Calathea.

Height with the pot: about 53 cm Pot diameter: 20 cm

This Calathea Medallion will do best in medium to bright indirect light but never leave this plant in the sun as the leaves will burn. Water with the top 25% of the soil has dried out, and until the water flows through the drainage holes but make sure you never leave the plant sitting in water as it dislikes wet legs. If the leaves curl or brown up try misting the plant as it will enjoy a little shower and the humidity. Our mister is available here.
